Our Mission

The Soul Sisters Memorial Foundation began as a result of tragedy.

After losing our daughter Jeanelle to suicide, we started our foundation with a mission dedicated to educating our community about Mental Health and Suicide Prevention.

We connect people to different resources and solutions by offering free and/or low-cost events and workshops to our community.

Once a year we host a fundraiser called "Nelly's Project" and with those proceeds, we are able to have a bigger reach and impact within our community.

We are striving to be leaders in the development, sustainability and provision of mental health and suicide prevention programs to the people in our community.

Our why ~

I come from a large family and when our daughter died by suicide in 2013, I was shocked that I did not recognize the signs of someone struggling with their mental health.

It made me realize that there may be other people that do not know those same signs. Since day one of starting our foundation, our family has said that if we can save one life it will be worth it.

We continue to honour our daughter's life by helping others.
