Life After Loss ~ The Holidays

Christmas can be a lonely time for those that are grieving.
Last night we had a room full of people join us for our annual "Life After Loss ~ The Holidays." Mother nature was not cooperating, so a few of our guests couldn't make it. However, those that did come had a cozy, warm place to hear a message from our Grief Counsellor, Angie.
Kerri (from Kerri's Cafe & Bakery) and her staff, had the fireplace going, the Christmas tree lit, and the tea and desserts were amazing.
Christmas is a little harder on our hearts when we remember the losses in our lives. This event always brings connection, words of wisdom and compassion to our community members during a difficult time of year.
We had a beautiful display from our friend Tracey Polak of North Road. She creates beautiful wooden decorations with a picture of your loved one on it. You can hang it on your tree, or in your window. Such a great idea!
Our guests got to take home the little Christmas tree you see in this picture. Angie's mother in law Judy, crocheted all of the little white tree cozies, as well as the two red heart decorations on the tree. We appreciate your time and talent Judy!
Our evening ended with Lesley Foster singing "Some Where Over The Rainbow" and "Amazing Grace", while Kerri accompanied her on the piano. If you have not heard Lesley sing, WOW! Her voice is incredible. What a grand finale!
