What a night! We had so much fun, if you were there, thank you for joining us! If you weren't you missed out!

What a night! We had so much fun, if you were there - then thank you for joining us. If you weren't there, then you missed out!

The weather was decent, the food was excellent, the MC and Keynote Speakers were fantastic and the music before and after the event was perfect.

Our Mom Caroline, was busy for about two months, hand painting our table decorations for this event. Terry Kallal donated and cut all the wooden discs for her to paint, and she made 36 of them! Our guests were delighted to find out that they could take them home.

Our MC, Jackie Rae from 840 CFCW had our guests laughing with all of her jokes and "dance moves", as she was helping the guest auctioneer Don Kratvontka, auction off a 3 hour river boat ride on the Athabasca River for 6 people. This was generously donated by our good friends Alan and Joy O'Brien, of Woodlands RV Park and River Marina. Thank you to Gil Dubrule and his lovely wife, who were our successful bidders.

Our Keynote speakers - Chelsea Pellerin and Rod Carlyon held the audience's attention with both of their presentations. Chelsea spoke of running their farm with her sister and her parents and the challenges they face. Their family makes a habit of checking in with each other a lot, when it comes to the stressful times they face on their farm.

Rod's first couple of sentences into his presentation made us sit up and listen. Are you a giver or a taker? And, we shouldn't be focussed on who is at this event, rather who is not! Who can you think of that should have been here - perhaps a neighbor that you haven't seen in awhile, or a coworker that could be struggling with their mental health. Next time invite them to join you, whether it is to an event like this or just out for coffee.

Our musicians had the crowd tapping their toes or up on the dance floor. Thank you so much to Caroline Edward for singing some traditional country music during cocktail hour. Koltan Potts sang and played some original songs with his guitar, and The Joe Ireland Band finished up the evening with both cover songs and originals.

Thank you to our sponsors BMO Westlock, Nutrien Ag Solutions, Martin Deerline, Westlock Terminals, Westlock Veterinary Centre and Westlock Seed Cleaning Co-op. We are grateful for your support.
