It’s hard to believe that after 50 years in the entertainment business Danny Hooper is still at the top of his game.
Having already logged more than 40,000 hours behind a microphone as a professional Master of Ceremonies, Certified Fundraising Auctioneer, Comedian, Award-winning Radio Personality, Television Host, Brand Ambassador, Podcaster, and Recording Artist, he still appears at up to 100 events each year.
A magnetic personality, off-beat sense of humor, and razor-sharp wit are the main ingredients in Danny’s “secret sauce.” His experience onstage as a multi-platform performer is unequaled, his credentials unassailable.

Fresh Off Their East Coast Tour
Derina Harvey leads the award-winning Celtic Rock group, the Derina Harvey Band (dHb). With a show that offers a fresh take on traditional folk songs as well as a few originals, Derina’s vibrant personality takes center stage with humour, storytelling, and, of course, her powerful vocals.
dHb has been likened to a “rockier” version of Canada’s Great Big Sea, if fronted by Adele, and has earned a reputation as a high-energy live show that leaves many an audience out-of-breath and hollering from their seats!
The group enjoyed a huge wave of new online followers from across the globe via TikTok. dHb’s recording of Tom Lewis’s “The Last Shanty” was used in thousands of videos on the platform, introducing the band to a whole new generation of listeners.
The band has three albums to their credit, with the most recent being “Waves of Home” (2023). They were also recently the recipients of a 2024 East Coast Music Award in the "Fans' Choice Entertainer of the Year” category.

From Mystery Trips to Signature Desserts to Signed Guitars
One of the really neat things about Nelly's Project is both the silent and live auctions throughout the night. We've had everything from signed Oilers jerseys and hockey tickets to fishing trips in the North West Territories.
We've auctioned off mystery trips to Ireland and France, and had bidding wars for a pink guitar signed by Miranda Lambert and an acoustic guitar signed by Keith Urban.
Every year we have people and businesses from all over who contribute to these donations to be auctioned off; it's a really fun way for you to win something really unique.
This is also helping to contribute to our cause in supporting mental health related events in our community!

We started receiving auction items last fall, as throughout the year people reach out to us to contribute and support this event.
We love all the unique items we receive. We've had individuals and businesses donate each and every year! How fantastic is that?

How lucky are we that our cousin Kyli is also our Chef/caterer for all of our events?
Kyli and her team love what they do and Kyli's smile says it all. Her staff are friendly, quick, efficient and are usually run off their feet the night of our fundraiser.
We like to start our meal on time, which is 6:00 p.m. However, once Danny is up on that stage and gets going with his stories.....Kyli is tapping her toe in the kitchen waiting for her cue to bring out the food.
Let's just say that she is very accommodating...
